Wild About You!

Hello Crafty Peeps!
I hope that you are doing well today. I have a sweet little valentines day card for your enjoyment. I am going to try and make this a short and to the point post so here goes.

Here's the card.

I made a center step card... Here is how I did it.
  • Take a 5 ½ x 11” card stock
  • one inch in from the side cut from from 1” to 6 ½” on both side
  • score along the long side from the cut line at 1” 2” and 6 ½
  • repeat on the other side
  • score between the cut lines at 5 ½
  • fold the card with the center as a mountain fold and the smaller folds are mountain valley

There are great tutorials on you tube if you need more help. It sounds complicated but it really is an easy folded card to make. Here is a side view of the card so you can see the folds

Ok so the Monkey stamp was from stampendous #ssc 160 but I think that it is discontinued I used Stazon jet black ink because I was going to be using water and i didn't want it to smear.

I used my inktense colored pencils to color the monkeys and then I used my round circle die to cut it out. I also used my nestablites scalloped circle to cut out the green border.

For the card I made a mat out of the same green paper the was 4 3/8” x 3 3/8”
The white mat measured 4 ¼ x 3 ¼
I then used a leaf stamp from the same stamp set and stamped a background using close to my heart pear ink and Topiary ink.

For the sides I used the same green and cut it at 4 ½ x ¾

I used an EK success heart punch and punched out 6 hearts out of pink glitter paper.

For the bottom I used 2 other stamps from the set and used the Pear ink from CTMH to stamp the swirl vine and the sentiment
Here are some more pics of the finished card. I know it is not traditional Valentines colors but I thought that it would be a perfect card for someone that I love.

I hope you all have a great day and a wonderful week. God Bless you all!

My 1st Silhouette Project

Good Morning Friends!
I hope y'all are staying warm with the arctic blast that has hit most of us. I don't have any snow but boy is it cold. This morning it is 0.7 degrees and seems to be falling. I know that is not as bad as most places, but here in NC it usually doesn't get this cold. I hope you are all staying warm.
OK so on to the project
For Christmas I got a Silhouette Cameo. YAY!!!! I have played around with it and I love it. Oh it is amazing at the intricate cuts that it can make. I am still trying to get use to the software and all the features of it. Luckily I am familiar with Sure cuts a lot and I can use it with the Cameo.
I love my Cricut but it was more of a love hate relationship, I loved the designs and the Cricut hated to cut them. Just kidding. I can see where I will still be using both of them but for now I am putting my crafting efforts in the Cameo.
So here is the 1st project that I made with my Cameo.

I used a cut from the Silhouette store Birthday cake #41228 from Miss Kate Cutables. I love this cut. The layers are super cute and it was so easy to assemble.
I think it was sized around 4.5 (note to self: write it down next time)

The Card Base is 5 by 5 ¼ in Kraft card stock
The number paper(mme lime twist out of the blue) is cut at 5 ¼ tall by 4 ¾ wide.
I then used the large circle die from the Spellbinders Nestabilities and die cut the striped paper(mme lime twist fly a kite).
I cut a strip of patterned card stock at 5” by 1 ½ and a white piece of Cs at 4 ½ by 1” I then flag cut the ends and adhered them on top of the circle cut.

I then used Lady bug red memento ink and stamp Happy Birthday from the Stampendous Birthday Bracket stamp set(retired but can be found on ebay).

For the banner I used washi tape and a piece of twine. I looped the tape over the twine and then flag cut the the ends of the tape.

I popped the cake up on foam tape. I then added glossy accents to the “chocolate” layer and added some white dash lines to parts of the cake.

I really enjoyed making this card. I loved how the Cameo was able to cut out the small parts without shredding them to pieces. I can see many more projects coming.
I hope you all have a blessed day and thanks for stopping by my blog.
Until Next time

Our Kreative Karma post! My favorite Chic

Hello Crafty Friends!
I hope you are all having a wonderful day! Today is my day to post for Our Kreative Karma. I can’t believe that March is almost over with so, again this month we were to use pastels, spring or Easter designs. I chose to make this a birthday card using a chick and some My pink stamper stamps.

So Here’s my card
I used Create a critter for the chick and cut her at 3 1/2"
For the banner I used the ek success scallop scallop punch on green glitter paper. Then wrapped it with limeade twine from doodlebug.

I added some glossy accents on the beak and feet.
and of course some googly eyes.

I used My Pink Stamper stamps and memento tuxedo black ink.

I think it turned out so cute. what a great card for a birthday close to Easter or just to send to a friend to let them know you are thinking of them.

I hope that you will go over to Our Kreative Karma blog to follow us and see what the other designers have made this month.

Hey Chicka!

Hello Crafty Friends!
I hope you are all having a wonderful Thursday. I have been crafting up a storm and just loving that I have time to get in my craft area. I suffer from anxiety and depression and getting in the zone helps take away all of that, so if you have those problems I would love to hear about how crafting has helped you. I know it can be a sensitive subject to talk about but I think it is time to get it out in the open. So that others know that there is someone out there that understands them.
Ok so I have been on this Chick and Chicken kick all this week. Next week I am gonna have to find something else to focus on. Hehe!

.I used country life to cut out the chicken. I cut her out at 3”. Here are some pictures of the cuts and the card.

I guess that is it for today. I hope you all decide to get in your crafty space and get some crafting done today!
Thanks for visiting my blog and see you tomorrow.
